February Half Term 2025 ---

MISSION SHEEP

Noodle, Macaroni and their newest blacknose friends; Marmalade and Marmadjuke are ready to welcome you to our farm this coming February half term.

Our Junior carer sessions are the first of Brockholes Farm for 2025.

Brockholes Farm is the home to a variety of farm animals and we want to show you young little animal lovers just how rewarding it is behind the scenes caring for them every day.

Mission SHEEP is ready and waiting for you. Breaking down over your session we will look at the basics of caring for them and hopefully you will leave with a baa-sket of knowledge 😊

S – Sheering, Summer and Substrait
H – Houses, Hooves and Happy
E -Eyes, Eats and Early Dark Nights
E- Enemies, Eating and Extra Cuddles
P – Pasture, Poo and Potions for Health

Using your worksheet we will visit all of our Farm residents – comparing all aspects of care with each one.
We will be poo picking, preparing lunches, talking about the importance of vaccines and lots more, whilst meeting, tickling and feeding our Goats, Pigs, Horses, Geese and our  flock of sheep of all kinds.

Our Animal encounters are led by one of our animal lovers, you'll  have the chance of being in their space, offering them food, even helping with daily animal checks and grooming.

Getting close to animals is a memorable experience for all children.
Whack on your Wellies and join our animal carers Keepers as you go behind the scenes Prepare to get mucky and get a taster of what looking after animal entails.

Your day runs from 10am - 12.30. The experience varies week to week but will include a selection of elements from the following activities;

Preparing animal food
Feeding animals
Helping with animal health checks
Mucking out animal enclosures and houses
Scrubbing and refilling water bowls
Cleaning walls/doors
Replenishing the Animal Beds
Making enrichment items
Raking sand in the enclosures
Pooh Picking
Groom the donkeys

Brockholes farm is not open to the public.  If you are staying with us you can choose a combination of encounters at a reduced cost during your stay.  Day visitors must each have a booking either for an experience or to accompany an experience.

If you choose an undated voucher it can be redeemed against the cost of a stay should you decide to upgrade and stay with us but availability is not guaranteed.
